from Shoji Tabuchi Show
Just what is the Shoji Tabuchi Show that everyone loving American music is raving about? At its heart is Branson, Missouri's first family of extraordinary musical entertainment - Shoji Tabuchi, his beautiful wife Dorothy and delightful daughter Christina.

The Shoji Tabuchi Show is an astounding state-of-the-art variety production rivaling the pure excitement of Las Vegas or New York.

This fabulous family production consists of an excellent sampling of Shoji's world-renowned fiddle mastery and showmanship as an entertainer; his wife Dorothy's gifted abilities as the show's creator, producer and director; and daughter Christina's talented addition as dancer and vocalist.

Comprised of music and dance of virtually every style, including country, gospel, Cajun, big band, show tunes, fifties and classical with cultural experiences such as fantasy visits to Hawaii, Mardi Gras and Broadway. Plus, there is a Japanese tribute featuring a giant dragon, a unique display of 26 Taiko drums, a breathtaking array of authentic Japanese costuming, flags and music, and a fascinating duet with Shoji and Christina singing in the Japanese language!

The show has special surprises and effects sprinkled throughout, such as animated laser light shows, clowns on a fire truck that is fun for everybody, confetti showers, balloons and bubbles, electronic fireworks, a black light presentation, and so much more it will leave you breathless.

All is showcased in a theatre that is a phenomenon in itself...often called the "Showplace of Branson." Its decor is reminiscent of the grand theatre palaces of the 1930's. Even the restrooms have awed visitors. The ladies' powder room and gentlemen's lounge are renown for their decor including fresh cut orchids, paintings, antiques...and don't forget the billiard table.

Dorothy Tabuchi and Christina Tabuchi appear on select dates only.

The Shoji Tabuchi "That's Entertainment" not soon to be forgotten!

Very, very nice facility with easy access and plenty of parking. Restaurants on either side of the facility if you want to come early and make a full evening of it. There are concessions if you prefer a snack at the show. There is also an intermission long enough to take pictures with the featured performers, get a snack, go to the restroom or just stretch. Very nice theater that reminded me of a cruise ship. Cruise Ship plus level show with quite a bit of variety. Not my cup of tea but I actually did enjoy the show and my wife really liked it. Recommend that you give it a try when in Branson.

"Not as advertised - a bit disappointed."

We saw Shoji Tabuci last night, after having enjoyed his show when we visited Branson some years back. While the publicity on the show has pictures of Vegas-like costumes and extravagant choreography, that is no longer the case. While the show features Shoji (who is terrific on the fiddle); it has become a showcase for his daughter, Christina. She is the ONLY female in the show; and while she is quite talented, a bit more variety would help the show. We did enjoy the show but I would most likely not repeat it. Somewhat disappointed generally.

"Must See Once"

Interesting show with charming and superb violin of host Mr Tabuchi. Entertaining and a little off beat with some surprises. His daughter sings flawlessly in her high range and is a charming hostess. As Simon would say however the song choice is critical, so the opening number forced her and the dude with the weird hair ( both good vocalists) to sing pitchy notes due to singing below their effective vocal range. A better opening is needed. I went "ouch" at first, then they actually became great! You must see this show once in your life, at least. The drums snd preview of the Christmas show made us want to return at Christmas!

Another must see show in Branson. The greatest violinist I've ever heard. The show was lovely and fast moving. Just like Lawrence well but with a violin. He wore about twenty different fantastic jackets. His daughter was outstanding. Highly recommend.
