Description

from Shoji Tabuchi Show

Just what is the Shoji Tabuchi Show that everyone loving American music is raving about? At its heart is Branson, Missouri's first family of extraordinary musical entertainment - Shoji Tabuchi, his beautiful wife Dorothy and delightful daughter Christina.

The Shoji Tabuchi Show is an astounding state-of-the-art variety production rivaling the pure excitement of Las Vegas or New York.

This fabulous family production consists of an excellent sampling of Shoji's world-renowned fiddle mastery and showmanship as an entertainer; his wife Dorothy's gifted abilities as the show's creator, producer and director; and daughter Christina's talented addition as dancer and vocalist.

Comprised of music and dance of virtually every style, including country, gospel, Cajun, big band, show tunes, fifties and classical with cultural experiences such as fantasy visits to Hawaii, Mardi Gras and Broadway. Plus, there is a Japanese tribute featuring a giant dragon, a unique display of 26 Taiko drums, a breathtaking array of authentic Japanese costuming, flags and music, and a fascinating duet with Shoji and Christina singing in the Japanese language!

The show has special surprises and effects sprinkled throughout, such as animated laser light shows, clowns on a fire truck that is fun for everybody, confetti showers, balloons and bubbles, electronic fireworks, a black light presentation, and so much more it will leave you breathless.

All is showcased in a theatre that is a phenomenon in itself...often called the "Showplace of Branson." Its decor is reminiscent of the grand theatre palaces of the 1930's. Even the restrooms have awed visitors. The ladies' powder room and gentlemen's lounge are renown for their decor including fresh cut orchids, paintings, antiques...and don't forget the billiard table.

Dorothy Tabuchi and Christina Tabuchi appear on select dates only.

The Shoji Tabuchi Show...now "That's Entertainment" not soon to be forgotten!

we've seen this show each time we've come to Branson. Probably great for first timers, but while the songs and dancers change, the show seems to have lost that Vegas luster we experienced our first couple of visits. And the bathrooms - once recognized nationally as wonders of the world still are a neat attraction but the brass fixturing is showing it's age. Once a hard to get ticket is no longer the case. Friday night show had several empty seats, including a whole row 9, center section.

I had a great seat and totally enjoyed the show. It is very nice that he recognizes our veterans and those that are serving now. Shoji had many costume changes, I think at least 20, and they were all very elaborate. The bathrooms are ornately decorated. As l am female, l did not see the men's bathroom, but did see a picture of it on a post card. It has a pool table in it. Amazing.

"Worth Seeing"

Since my SO is Japanese, this show was a must see in Branson. Shoji is a master violinist and showman and has been putting on various shows for about three decades. Each show is a mixture of comedy, music and dancing. We found the show entertaining and worth the price of admission. The theater is nice, but the bathrooms are over the top.

This was our first time to go to the Shoji Tabuchi Theater and it was fantastic!!! The show was very professional, excellent music and Shoji is an excellent violin player and a funny guy as well! All of performers from Christina (Shoji's daughter), to the band and the other singers and dancers were excellent. The show included a wide variety of music styles and I would highly recommend it to anyone.
